The approximate translation of the teaser reads, "This time, it is worth and other "9" point".

While other details about the smartphone aren't available at the moment, a leak that surfaced a year ago suggests that the smartphone looks similar to Apple's iPhone 6s Plus.

The new Oppo R9 is rumored to come with a 6 inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and the device will apparently be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. In addition, ads in China state that there will be an event on March 17, during which Oppo will unveil a handset that has "9" in the name which more or less confirms the launch date.

Oppo has also earned popularity globally like other Chinese smartphone makers, although its pricing is a lot higher than Xiaomi or OnePlus models. Since this product OPPO R9 is mainly focused on super camera so i it might also feature the new Smart Sensor image stabilisation.

Oppo has introduced some interesting phones in the past, including some with pretty cool rotating cameras. The Oppo R9 is one of them, and today the company has tipped its hand towards its release date.

With either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, it is likely to come with 64GB of onboard storage with microSD card for further expansion.

As detailed in International Business Times, the Oppo R9 is expected to carry a 21-megapixel camera in the rear, while the front will have a 13-megapixel snapper. It is expected to be priced between $350 and $400 at launch, although we will have to wait until the official announcement to be sure about the price as well as the key specifications of the smartphone.
