Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6s: Flagship Smartphone Battle 2016

At the unpacking event, Samsung CEO D.J. Kho revealed t the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain the innovative features that will come with their latest models of Samsung's flagship Galaxy S series. The S7 edge has a 5.5-inch QHD display - the same screen size as (but with sharper resolution than) Apple's iPhone 6s Plus.

Check out the exciting things you can do with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

And the South Korean firm's all-new devices tick a number of wish list items, including a water resistant design, always-on display, better camera and, most importantly, expandable storage via microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge users in the United Kingdom on the Vodafone network have started getting the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update finally.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is available for pre-order in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum or Silver Titanium in a 32GB model, online here.

With the recent release of the Samsung Galaxy S7, their latest smartphone, the company is all set to take things to the next level.

One of the biggest features Samsung is highlighting is the new camera in the S7 pair. The company has also said that the Adoptable Storage is only meant for lower tier devices with 4 or 8GB of storage that require memory expansion.

Samsung decided not to use Marshmallow's Adoptable Storage feature because it doesn't want users to be stuck with a microSD card that's unable to transfer miles between multiple devices.

The cards slotted in for extra storage space serves only that objective: more storage space. However, the default Marshmallow implementation does allow users the option to treat microSD cards either in "portable" mode, allowing them to operate as regular removable storage, or the "internal storage" mode, and some users would surely have appreciated the choice.

This is what the "Adoptable Storage" setup looks like in Android 6.0.

To sweeten the deal, Samsung will also be throwing in six virtual reality games with the headset. The new phones come with 4GB LPDDR54 RAM.
