It features an "always on" 5.3-inch QHD display and under its hood is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM. The smartphone includes an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

Samsung has been doing extremely well with the Galaxy S7/Edge in India, thanks to some relatively aggressive pricing and general overall performance (specially the camera), so it's tough for LG G5 to compete straight away considering it's already on the back foot with a 2 month delay in launch. The phone is backed by a 2,800mAh slide-out battery and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Those who pre-book the smartphone during this period will get one of the Free modular with the smartphone - the LG Cam Plus. The 4G enabled smartphone weighs 159 grams and will be available in four colours - Silver, Titan, Pink and Gold.

The LG Cam Plus is an additional accessory for the new smartphone that has an inbuilt 1,200 mAh battery. when the handset and this accessory combined, the LG G5's battery power boost up to 4000 mAh.
