Leaked Photos Reveal Details About Upcoming Motorola Droid and MotoMod Accessory

Lenovo's Moto Z flagship Android smartphone has been stirring a lot of buzz lately and now some new information about it has leaked online.

American blogger, editor, and phone leaker, Evan Blass, did what he does best; he leaked the pictures of the three Moto Mods yesterday, ahead of the Twitter release.

As far as the Moto Z Style is concerned, the device is rumored to have specs that include a 5.5-inch HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and a potential 16 MP main camera.

When LG launched the G5, many were impressed with the company's bold decision to incorporate modules to the main smartphone.

The new Moto Z devices will probably start around $400. Similar to how the Moto G4 attempts to create its own legacy by diverting a little from the earlier Moto phones, the Moto Z is likely to be little different from the Moto X.

Even though the promotional images are not surprising, the features and design of the Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style have largely remained under wraps.

Lenovo's Moto X is reportedly getting a new name as the flagship phone, the specs of which reportedly bring it to the company's G line, is expected to be unveiled during the 2016 Tech World Show on June 9.

As well as the possible modules Blass also tweeted an image that appears to show the Verizon Droid edition of the phone in black, silver and gold. These will apparently be called MotoMods and be bought separately as the user sees fit. However, leaks have hinted that they will come with modules with sixteen pins that can be snapped onto the rear of these devices. The middle MotoMod is a powerful premium JBL speaker module with a built-in kickstand of some sort. It comes with a camera grip, a shutter button, a flash bulb and an optical zoom lens. Lenovo TechWorld kicks off on June 9th, and we'll have all the details as they become available.
