HTC 10 is definitely one of this year's hottest Android smartphones, but some people just want to have fun with it, and definitely not in the good way. The flagship smartphone gets taken through a series of torture tests, but can it look good and survive these tests too? Looks like we will find out shortly.
In terms of appearance, HTC 10 represents the best of what a company has to offer in providing us with a premium flagship smartphone. YouTuber by the name of JRE managed to get his hands on the device, and as you might have guessed, the smartphone gets taken for more than its fair share of torture tests. To find out what remains of HTC 10, you are going to have to watch the video.
As far as the hardware of the flagship handset is concerned, HTC 10 features a 5.2-inch QHD display (2560 x 1440), and sports a Super LCD5 display that has been reinforced with a curved edge Gorilla Glass. Powered by a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB or RAM, the smartphone comes in two internal storage variants: a 32GB one and a 64GB one, with a storage expansion slot that is able to accommodate a 2TB MicroSD card. One thing that HTC has capitalized upon is the speaker quality of its devices.
That being said, HTC 10 features the company's BoomSound audio profile, that improves the overall sound experience when you want to get down to using it for entertainment purposes without using headphones or earphones. Additionally, the device sports a 3,000mAh cell underneath its unibody chassis. Despite featuring a 3,000mAh battery, HTC states that you can get up to up to 27 hours while being connected to the 3G and 4G networks.
On top of that, you can also experience up to 19 days of standby time while connected to the same networks. There is also a power saving mode that will allow you to rake battery life up to 2 whole days and guess what? HTC 10 is compatible with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology thanks to the bundling of a compatible charger. With this, you will be able to increase the battery life up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
The phone accommodates a nanoSIM card and sports a Type-C USB port, Bluetooth 4.2 chip and an 802.11ac Wi-Fi adapter. HTC 10 will ship in four colors: Carbon Grey, Glacier Silver, Topaz Gold, and Camellia Red, and they'll come in two versions with different Qualcomm Snapdragon processors depending on the market.
It is very rare to see a manufacturer give this much importance to software updates but we are glad that HTC is finally give consumers the treatment they deserve.
