Normally, we'd not only be surprised to see a top-tier Android smartphone manufacturer mark down a flagship model mere weeks after its commercial debut. We'd also be psyched to get in on the unusual deal of a lifetime.
The thing is, while opinions are split regarding the appeal and quality of the Xperia X and X Performance, everyone seems to agree the two 5-inchers started off at least slightly overpriced. Hence, the best case scenario is the non-Performance X now provides decent bang for your buck following a nationwide $50 reduction.
By no means would we call the Snapdragon 650/3GB RAM upper mid-ranger a bargain at $500 unlocked, down from $550, even with a nifty pair of $35 Samsung Level U wireless headphones thrown in as a free bonus by B&H Photo Video.
Still, it's arguably wiser to purchase the Sony Xperia X now than before, from B&H, Amazon or Best Buy, in your choice of black, white, lime gold or rose gold colors, with 3GB RAM, Full HD screen resolution, 23 and 13MP cameras, 32GB internal storage, GSM LTE connectivity, Marshmallow, and 2,620 mAh battery juice in tow. Meanwhile, the X Performance continues to fetch a scandalously high $700.
