HTC 10 smartphone picks up the flagship torch

Despite losing the front-facing speakers though, BoomSound is still supported, now called BoomSound Hi-Fi, and Hi-Res Audio is on board too. This phone is an all metal smart device.

The unlocked HTC 10 is available at HTC.com for $699. LG's flagship also has a fingerprint sensor on board but you'll find it on the rear beneath the camera rather than the front.

The US version of the HTC 10 will come in two configurations. It means that the HTC 10 Lifestyle will sport the same gorgeous 5.2-inch QHD Super LCD 5 display, the wonderful 12 ultra-pixel rear shooter with f/1.8 aperture and 1.55-micron pixel size. 9 (450Mbps down, 50Mbps up), the 10 Lifestyle only gets Cat.

There's a 12MP HTC UltraPixel camera on the back with laser autofocus and optical image stabilisation. Inside, the HTC 10 comes packing 4GB RAM and comes powered by the latest and greatest from Qualcomm, the Quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor. Battery capacity is 3,000mAh, there's Quick Charge 3.0 support and a rapid is bundled, so at least HTC didn't skimp on that.

The HTC 10 Lifestyle will be available in some regions as the flagship device, it features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and 3GB of RAM, it will also only be available with 32GB of storage. Are you interested in the HTC 10 Lifestyle edition? You get unprecedented control.

The phone is a combination of the HTC One A9 and the HTC One M9 in terms of style, which is a good thing for minimalist lovers.

Earlier this morning, HTC announced its new smartphone, the HTC 10, revealing that the Android device will have the ability to wirelessly play audio through devices and speakers that support streaming via Apple's AirPlay feature (via SlashGear).

The HTC 10 launch takes place at 5.30 pm IST today on the company's website, and reports say that the smartphone will start shipping on April 15.
