Who came out on top in battle of the smartphones

How'd the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge hold up against a barrage of perils including water and physical stress tests and how do they compare against Apple's iPhone 6s and 6s Plus? However if that is not the case and they can only resist for 30 minutes at under 4 feet, they should receive an IP67 rating.

Each device earned a score indicating a medium risk of suffering damage beyond fix, trouncing the iPhone 6s overall, but performing only slightly worse than the iPhone 6s Plus.

There's no word on when we can expect to see the Galaxy S7 Mini officially announced, but Samsung has launched spinoff devices off its flagship smartphones in the summer in previous years. The company were also able to test the flagship smartphone in its DropBot, BendBot and TumbleBot.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge lived up to their IP68 promise after surviving 30 minutes in 1.5 metres of water.

Neither the iPhone 6S nor the iPhone 6S Plus are water resistant. Apple's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus became known for the BenGate controversy in 2014 but the company remedied the problem with the stronger aluminum of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

According to partners such as Verizon, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge are lasting under water at a depth of 5 feet, for 30 minutes, which is exactly the test that SquareTrade has performed on both devices.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are just the latest phones to be part of Verizon's Annual Upgrade Program. The iPhone 6s completed the test with only a minor knick while the display on the larger 6s Plus totally shattered.

The ultimate torture test was recently conducted on all four smartphone models and while some of the results were exactly what we expected, there was definitely a surprise or two to be found.

Samsung is yet to comment on the hardware issues raised so far. Meanwhile the S7 took 170 pounds of pressure, equal to that of very sturdy iPhone 6S. In the meantime, S7 users are advised to be careful about accidental bumps, drops and even water exposure.
