The Korean electronics giant unveiled its latest Galaxy S7 flagship smartphones with most advanced and favourite features. S7 Edge's 5.5-inch screen is slightly larger.
The buzz has just started to die down after the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S7 with its S7 Edge compatriot a few days ago.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the LG G5 have 4 GB of RAM and are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. These modules make the LG model flexible in a way its rival isn't, so those who want an expandable device will be quite happy with this.
Unfortunately, Samsung is not supporting Adoptable Storage with its latest smartphones.
The always-on display is also smart, says Samsung, which means that it'll automatically disable when the phone is in your pocket or bag, or when it's face down, or when the battery is running low.
In general, the specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy S7 are superior compared with the ones in the Apple iPhone 6s. Adding to the list of good stuff is its insane water and high-dust resistance feature owing to the phones' IP68 rating. To help manufacturers go around this problem, Google came in with a feature known as adoptable storage for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Both handsets have a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. We believe that our users want a microSD card to transfer files between their phone and other devices (laptop, tablet, etc), especially the photos and videos they shoot with the camera. This lets you format a microSD card so it can be used as if it were internal storage.
This then drops the app drawer, making it so you've got every downloaded app available by swiping right on the home screen.
Once the feature is turned on, the microSD card is merged with the existing internal storage of the device running Android Marshmallow, extending the device's capacity to install as many apps as possible.
