New image shows off the HTC One M10 minus front facing logo

Moreover, the device will be not be called HTC One M10, but it will be launched under a distinct designation while the "One" part of it will be kept.

When the One A9 was announced in late October of past year, it came with an expectation that, in addition to be sold unlocked through HTC's web portal, at least one Canadian carrier would have a crack at selling it on subsidy. It will have a Quad-HD display, the first for any HTC One phone.

Today a rumor has surfaced which suggests that HTC will in fact not be showing off their 2016 flagship smartphone at Mobile World Congress, but instead will be opting to show off at an event on April 11th.

At the moment, it is unclear when the HTC One M10 will be released.

HTC has been one of the most prominent names in the markets of Smartphone technology over the past few years.

The HTC One M10's CPU is going to be backed up by a massive 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory capacity, which can also be expanded via its MicroSD slot. There will only be one single front-facing speaker for audio, an all metal design like past phones, and a refreshing new design.

The rumour source also claims we're looking at a metal build (not a surprise) with a fingerprint scanner, IP78 water and dust proofing (finally!), a 23MP camera and a 3,000mAh battery.

HTC was criticized by experts for not differentiating the One M8 and One M9 enough, which also led to lesser than expected sales. HTC is a bit late to the party as other tech companies were quicker to roll out the update but we can't blame them.

With HTC One A9's unimpressive upgrades, HTC One M10 is anticipated to be a major overhaul of the One series.

Talking about the camera of the device, it is being anticipated that the phone will be releasing with a minimum of 12 Ultrapixels of camera in the back, and an 8MP wide-angled lens in the front.

Writing on VB, @evleaks added to his tweet by detailing specific details about the HTC One M10.

Amid the unsuccessful debut of the HTC One A9, the upcoming flagship seemingly followed its "design aesthetics", and resembled the iPhone's rounded corners.

It's becoming clear that HTC won't be launching its next flagship phone at MWC 2016 at the end of February, and according to new information it's set to arrive much later. People commenting in message boards and forums about the One M9 pointed out that although HTC tried their best, there's little appeal to the handset aside from speakers.
