Motorola Moto Z users in India recieve Android 7.0 Nougat update

In Android 7.0 Nougat, the smartphone user is capable of accessing quick settings option through toggles which appear on the top of the screen which was not seen in the previous versions of the Android. According to Team Android, the firmware offers a "pure AOKP Android experience which is fast, smooth and stable". This would be the highly anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat.

It also remains unclear what the status is for the older flagship smartphones expected to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade following the rollout to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, namely the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and S6 edge Plus. Specifically available for the N9005 model, the custom firmware update brings in Android 7.1.1 Nougat. This means that installing the firmware could cause performance and instability issues.

Measuring more than 300 MB in size this new update hit Samsung S7 and S7 Edge users in India earlier this month. In fact, it will automatically void any active product warranties for the phone. Now running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the smartphone could be on the verge of getting an Android 7.1.1 Nougat update soon. Or should you install the update manually? or you might have to get the help of CyanogenMod OS to taste the Nougat flavour with the existing handset.

Samsung is presently holding a Galaxy Beta Program where Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners can test the Android Nougat firmware before the official release. Later on, the company starts updating with the new operating system on other Android smartphones.

The Moto Z, which is undoubtedly Motorola's most exciting smartphone in recent years, comes packed to the gills with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera with OIS and 4K recording, a 5MP front shooter and a 2,600mAh battery along with TurboCharging support. GSM Arena noted the following.

A vital Australian carrier, Optus, affirmed that Samsung Galaxy A5 will be receiving another major update in January 2017.

Unlike Samsung, Google's Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5x, Pixel tablet and the Nexus Player all feature Android 7.1.1 straight from the factory.
