Motorola’s New Flagship Moto X3 Is the Next Best Android Contender?

Lenovo previously made headlines following the restructuring efforts of its mobile division, and now it seems Motorola is ready to take on the market once more. According to reports, the company will be releasing a new flagship called the Moto X3. Will it be a success?

Players come and go in the smartphone industry. This time, Lenovo and Motorola will be testing the waters with their new initiative: the Moto X3. Previously, Lenovo announced that soon after, it will be selling Motorola smartphones under its "Moto by Lenovo" branding. As it turns out, the Moto X3 can be the first lineup under it.

The release seems imminent as Times of India reported the device showing up on Zauba listing. According to the Zauba listing, the Moto X will feature a single SIM mode and a 5-inch display. Lenovo has not made the final announcement so all reported information must be taken with a grain of salt.

However, no further details were provided. Previously, Lenovo came under fire from consumer electronics retailers because it offers better units and considerable discounts online. Nonetheless, this did not seem to stop the company from venturing further into the smartphone business.

The company may also have a good chance of redeeming sales as First Post reported Lenovo taking home the price as the "favorite smartphone brand" from Flipkart. Specifically, Flipkart noted that Lenovo K3 and Lenovo A6000 Plus were two of the most sought out smartphones. Motorola follows closely with the Moto 3 2nd Gen and the Moto G 3rd Gen. It was reported before that combined shipments for Motorola and Lenovo were short of 3 million units. This accounts for around 60 percent year-on-year. Consequently, this has also pushed the two companies beyond Intex, ranking third.
