The OnePlus 3 is less than half a year old , but an updated version appears to be just around the corner.
Several technology websites are reporting that a new model, believed to be called the OnePlus 3T, will arrive on November 15.
The key difference appears to be an updated processor and a bigger battery, giving the new phone a better chance of competing with the iPhone 7 and the Google Pixel .
OnePlus itself is throwing fuel on the fire with a tweet suggesting an incoming new product.
The Snapdragon 821 is Qualcomm's most powerful mobile phone chip and the same one that's inside Google's Pixel. According to reports, the OnePlus 3T will keep the aluminium body, OLED screen and 6GB of RAM that the standard OnePlus has.
However, other rumours suggest it will ship with the latest version of Google's Android OS. That means it will be compatible with Google's Daydream VR platform and you will be able to put it in the Daydream View VR headset.

It's unclear yet whether the new OnePlus would launch at a higher price or whether the company would shift the existing OnePlus down in price. If so, that would make it even more of a contender for the best value smartphone on the market.
We'll have to wait until November 15 to find out for sure.
