HTC Is Giving JBL Headphones Away To HTC 10 Buyers

With the hype machine surrounding the launch of the Galaxy Note 7 working overtime, other vendors may well be feeling a bit left out. In fact, with the new flagship phablet from Samsung expected to occupy the hearts and minds of smartphone buyers in the foreseeable future, even Samsung's own Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are being sold at nice discounts by some of the major carriers in the U.S. No wonder then that HTC, too, is looking to move a few more units of its latest flagship before the Note 7 is available for purchase in just over a week's time from now. The latest Samsung smartphone is already up for pre-order through a number of channels, and will be officially available for purchase from the 19th of this month.

Either way, HTC, on its part, is offering a pair of 'JBL Reflect Aware C' earphones for free with every HTC 10 purchased between now and the end of this month. According to an announcement by the Taiwanese company, the promo will run through to August 31st or until stocks run out, whichever is earlier. The earbuds are said to be sweat-proof, and makes use of  a USB Type-C connector instead of the standard 3.5 mm audio jack to connect to the HTC 10. The earbuds come with an asking price of $199.95, so it is already a pretty sweet deal in case you're looking to get an all-new smartphone.

However, if that isn't enough to convince you, the company is also offering an additional $100 in credit to those who buy the device from its web store. The money can be used to buy any official HTC accessory available on the company's own website. The HTC 10 is currently listed at $699 on htc.com, and is definitely a capable device whichever way one looks at it. However, whether the latest offer will be enough to lure people into picking it over any of Samsung's recent offerings remains to be seen. The device comes with a screen that, at 5.2-inches, is a tad smaller than the display panels found on most other flagship devices, although, it packs a solid punch in terms of performance because of the Snapdragon 820 running under its hood. The handset comes with Android Marshmallow pre-loaded, but will receive the taste of Nougat at some stage over the coming months.
