HTC's New Smartphone Launch: All the Details

HTC has unveiled its new flagship phone, the HTC 10.

For starters the HTC 10 will have a new BoomSound technology; HTC skipped its BoomSound speakers with the previous flagship device, the One A9.

In the latest teaser uploaded by HTC through its Twitter account, the smartphone manufacturer claims that its engineers have turned their obsessions with battery life into a science. The battery capacity is also the same at 3,000mAH just like the HTC 10, reports Pocket Lint.

The device's main selling point is the 12-UltraPixel rear-facing camera that features dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization) and 4K video recording. There have been already several leaks of the HTC 10 that show the new Android device in the wild. Its headphone amp delivers twice the power of a conventional headphone amp, with the ability to upscale from 16-bit to 24-bit audio.

For the 10, HTC improved on the internals of the HTC One M9 in many ways. The video revealed what the HTC's next-generation flagship smartphone will look like, and according to the video it may be available in black, silver and gold.

The HTC 10 will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad core (2.2 GHz) SoC while the Lifestyle edition will instead have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. HTC 10 is heavily pegged to deliver stellar camera experience. On the front, the smartphone packs a secondary 5-megapixel camera with OIS, which should be flawless for state-of-the-art selfies.

The HTC 10 is available for pre-order now starting at $700.

The company will also let you unlock the bootloader through the HTC Dev website without voiding the warranty.

Towards the end of the video, we also saw a small glimpse of the HTC's new Sense 8 UI in yellow color with the time displayed as 10:08 including refreshed set of icons.
