HTC announces its new $699 flagship handset --- HTC 10

If you need a reminder on what is on offer, there is little doubting that the HTC 10 is a flagship smartphone as it comes touting a number of on-point specs on paper.

The company has also launched a lifestyle version of the new HTC 10 which will be powered by Snapdragon 652 processor.

The Taiwanese smartphone maker said it used customer feedback to develop phone and employed "obsessive attention to detail" in its design. These are 2880 x 2560 pixel wallpapers that will fit the new device's 5.2-inch Quad HD screen.

As the previous leaks showed, the HTC 10 comes with a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM running the show, which should provide enough power to keep everything running buttery smooth. When you finally decide to charge it, you'll be able to get it back up and running quickly through the support of Quick Charge 3.0 through its USB Type-C port. The design of the Smartphone is very similar to the One A9. It has HTC's all-aluminium construction, with large chamfe red edges and machined ports. On the front, you will sport a fingerprint scanner, flanked by capacitive buttons.

It doesn't look like an iPhone, which is a bonus. It's accompanied by a dual-LED flash and second-generation laser autofocus system.

The HTC 10 main camera is 12-megapixels with optical image stabilization and a f/1.8 aperture; it's 5-megapixel front camera introduces OIS to selfie imaging. The 10 can upscale audio to 24-bit quality. Going even further back in time to the days of the Desire, you get a premium headset in the box - with 70% oversized drivers and Hi-Res audio certification meaning they cover twice the frequency range. The number of native apps has been reduced, while more have been integrated together to make the phone faster, creating what HTC is calling the "best of Google and HTC".

Benchmarking outfit DxO Labs have tested the HTC 10's camera and placed it at the top of its DxOMark Mobile chart, noting that the device is "a great all-roun der for stills and video", Forbes reported.

Video 'shows Nigerian girls abducted by Boko Haram'Cameroon experienced the highest number of suicide attacks involving children (21) between early 2014 and early 2016, UNICEF said. Children, especially little girls, are increasingly being forced into suicide bombings by Boko Haram militants, UNICEF says.
