HTC 10 arrives with 12MP UltraPixel camera, BoomSound speakers

The HTC 10 Lifestyle will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 820 chipset that powers the North American variants of the flagship smartphone.

Today was a big day in the Android and smartphone calendar as HTC took to the stage and unveiled their latest flagship handset, the HTC 10. HTC 10 is heavily pegged to deliver stellar camera experience. The video shows that the smartphone has been crafted from a single block of aluminium, and also gives a glimpse at the new HTC Sense 8 UI.

Regarding the HTC 10's design, I'll first note that it doesn't look like an iPhone copy.

The HTC 10 is no doubt one of the most anticipated smartphones in the market and the excitement about the specifications is building day by day.

Thankfully, rest of the specs remain same. This means the Lifestyle comes with a 5.2-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. An unlocked version of the HTC 10 will also be available in Glacier Silver and Carbon Gray and will retail for $699.

Would you be willing to trade off a bit of processing power to save 10-15% on the cost of a flagship phone?

This device, which runs Android Marshmallow and is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, follows similar design lines as its predecessors, but comes with a streamlined, simplistic approach in terms of messaging and user experience. When you finally decide to charge it, you'll be able to get it back up and running quickly through the support of Quick Charge 3.0 through its USB Type-C port.

Other things worth noting include that of a 3,000 mAh battery that is good on standby for up to 21 days.

There is also a long-standing rumour of a world class 12-megapixel (UltraPixel) rear camera with UltraPixel sensor, optical image stabilisation, and 4K video recording. RAM has increased from 3GB in the M9 to 4GB, while storage remains unchanged at 32GB.
