Samsung had started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow globally last week for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

However, once you enable adoptable storage on your smartphone, you are not allowed to pull out the memory card if you want to keep using some of the apps installed.

Adoptable Storage also formats and ties the microSD card to a specific smartphone, which Samsung believes could be confusing to users. The physical dimensions of the Galaxy S7 devices are also quite similar to those of Galaxy S6 handsets, though the new handsets are comparatively thicker in size and 14 grams heavier in weight.

According to a report from TechInsider, LG public relations representative Monica Levy says the G5 does come with adoptable storage feature, "Happy to inform you that LG's newest flagship does support Android's adoptable storage feature".

With adoptable storage, first of all the card may be erased the first time it is inserted into the device.
