Apple iPhone 7: New Tech Patent Hints Waterproof iPhone, Specs, News, Updates, Rumors

The iPhone 6s has just recently been released but with ever changing technology, the spotlight is now on the upcoming Apple flagship smartphone, the iPhone 7.

Display

In a report released by Forbes, they claimed that KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that the iPhone 7 will still be using an LED display instead of the more power efficient AMOLED display.

Waterproof

The Apple iPhone 6 is already water-resistant, so now, the rumors are that the iPhone 7 will not just be water-resistant, but it will be waterproof.

The rumor came from a leaked patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Apple's patent application is said to be titled 'Liquid Expulsion From An Orifice' and is said to be an innovative way to remove liquid from inside the iPhone, specifically through the microphones and the speakers.

The Apple patent will use electrical charges to send the water that was able to get inside the phone back out.

Wireless Charging

Although more than a few Android devices are already capable of wireless charging, this feature is yet to be introduced to the Apple iPhones. It has yet to be reported that the iPhone 7 will be adding this feature in their upcoming flagship phone, but it is definitely one of the features that iPhone users is hoping to be added in the next Apple flagship smartphone.

Rumored Specs

The specifications of the iPhone 7 are nothing more than rumors for now, but it is said to be sporting a 4.7-inch display and will be 6.0 to 6.5 mm thick. It is also said that the upcoming iPhone 7 will be powered by the A10 smartchip, 2 GB RAM, a 2K display, and even an 8 MP front facing camera.
