LG is in an attempt to provide users with a smartphone that offers literally everything in its latest flagship smartphone. The current flagship smartphone LG G4, comes with an unique and attractive design, great performance, and a fantastic camera.
Over the past few years, Samsung's Galaxy S range have fallen victim of repetitiveness. However, the 2015 Galaxy S6 model is being marked as Samsung's best attempt in design.

However, the obvious question is how the new LG G4 can compete with the Galaxy S6, Samsung's so-called best designed smartphone so far. While, after spending time on both devices, here we have published an in-depth comparison of the LG G4 with it's arguably the biggest rival Galaxy S6.
LG G4 And Samsung Galaxy S6 In Pictures
Design
Smartphones are designed to be attractive. The LG G4 is all about attractive curved design. In terms of design, the LG G4 comes with a curved back with variety of cover options including leather back. The presence of 5.5 inch display dictates the overall size of the G4 and slim bezels on the sides of the display makes it a pretty narrow device.
The G4 adopts the same design language as predecessor, delegating the power and volume keys at the back of the phone. The smartphone comes in a curved shape. The rear panel, bezel borders the display and the entire outer shell itself is slightly curved.

LG claim the design as the shock-absorbing bend that makes the G4 20 percent more durable than its earlier version G3.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S6, this is claimed as the best designed smartphone by the South Korean tech giant so far. The Galaxy S6 is an enhancement of Samsung's design language, by retaining its signature home button and sensor placement. The Galaxy S6 is holds a metal bezel made entirely of aluminium with flat Gorilla Glass 4 on the front and rear of the smartphone.

When it comes to thickness, undoubtedly the Galaxy S6 measure just 6.8mm and beats the LG G4 which measures 9.4 mm thick. But, the G4 has standout in other areas like removable battery, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
Meanwhile, the LG G4 fit and feels good in the palm, while the Galaxy S6 is a pretty with dual-glass sides but does not feel so-comfortable compared to the G4.
Under the Hood
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, powered by its very own 64-Bit Exynos 7420 processor. The octa-core processor is paired with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T760MP8 GPU. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.

The LG G4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor SoC with a 1.8GHz 64-bit hexa-core CPU and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. It runs on the latest Android Operating System, Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, LG's processor is slightly weaker, but may produce better battery life.
Display
The Galaxy S6 sports a 5.1 inches Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution counting 2560 x 1440 pixels. These display features were equipped in the LG's last year flagship: G3, but the brightness and contrast was compromised.

Now the G4 got an improvement in every way. The company calls it as a 'Quantum' LCD display, which is claimed to be reproduce more accurate and real-colour in the G4. The LG G4 is equipped with a mind-blowing with a 5.5 inch Quad HD IPS Quantum screen housing a resolution of 1440x2560 with 538 PPI and a contrast ratio of 1500:1.
Storage and Battery
Undoubtedly, the LG G4 wins in this area. The G4 comes with a 3000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 comes with a 2550mAh built-in battery. Another point to be considered is that the LG G4 comes with removable battery.

When it comes to storage, the Samsung has taken Apple-like approach of removing its MicroSD slot and instead provides 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB models of the Galaxy S6. While, the LG decided to make a single model with 32GB which will also includes a microSD card slot that can expand up to 2TB.
Camera
Both LG and Samsung have spent much time in improving the camera in their flagship smartphones. The Galaxy S6 packs a 16 megapixel rear shooter with an f/1.9 aperture lens and comes with built-in optical stabilization. Meanwhile, the LG claims its G4 comes with 'the brightest lens in the world on a smartphone,' and comes with an f/1.8 aperture with a new 'three dimensional optical image stabilization.'

The G4 holds a same 16 megapixel rear camera as the Galaxy S6, but comes with some special features like full manual mode where users can adjust ISO and other professional camera elements and notably can shoot in RAW format, which is a great feature for a photo enthusiastic.
Verdict
So far, the LG G4 had a chance beat the Galaxy S6 in all aspects expect the hardware. The G4 is light, comfortable and feels great in the hand. While the leather back and the display's colour is incredibly impressive. On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 is equipped with a powerful processor under the hood to make sure that it never stuck while working on. To be clear, both smartphones are up to the mark with their own strengths.
