LG tonight has introduced a new smartphone camera lens with the widest aperture found on a now produced handset. In comparison, Samsung Galaxy S8 uses an f1.7 aperture lens.
LG Electronics (LG) will incorporate an F1.6 aperture camera and an actual glass lens element in the dual camera of its upcoming V30 flagship smartphone, ushering in a new level of photographic innovation for smartphones. LG's glass Crystal Clear Lens also enhances the flagship's ability to absorb more light.
If LG V30 can make it to the top of the benchmark pile, there's a chance that it'll gain some traction when it hits the market.
The LG V30's camera is also rumored to come with DSLR-like features such as LG-Log for specific logging and Graphy for histogram features.

According to LG this LG V30'S camera is better than its predecessor, as it cuts edge distortion by a third compared to the V20 when capturing wide-angle shots.
You'd always want the fastest lens available to provide that extra bit of flexibility, but the maximum aperture of the lens is only part of the story when it comes to outright image quality.
LG said the rear camera on the V30 will be 30% smaller than the one on its predecessor, the V20.
But the camera is not the only thing that's great about the LG V30. In a statement released by the company today, we have learned that the V30 will be LG's first camera phone with f/1.6 aperture lens. The phone maker has already sent out invites teasing the V30's camera capabilities. Along with the new construction, the camera setup will feature optical image stabilization, laser detection autofocus, and electronic image stabilization. The smartphone will have 4K video recording. We expect that the LG V30 will build on both strengths and deliver a truly worthwhile product this month. It is set to come with a 6-inch QuadHD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and HDR 10 support and a bezel-less design just like the one seen on the LG G6.
