The South Korean Giant is expected to unveil its upcoming flagship Galaxy S8 on 29th of March. Earlier it was expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2017 on 26th of February and launch in March. Now Ricciolo has tweeted about this and said, the device is ready to be unveiled at MWC, that is scheduled for next month. It is also said that it will be officially introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event on 29th of March. It will be priced at $849 (approx Rs. 57,800) for the basic version.
The successor of the Samsung Galaxy S7 has popped up online, and this is the first leak of the upcoming flagship model Galaxy S8. From the image, we can notice that there isn't any Home button and there isn't any bezel on the side. The glossy looking smartphone might be coming with a metallic finish, but there isn't any information on the legitimacy of the same.
This could well be a photoshopped image of the previous Galaxy devices, but we have to wait till we get an official note from the company. We cannot see the Physical home button and instead there is the Samsung logo in the position. On the top, we can see the camera as well as the speaker grills alongside the sensor.
Earlier we have seen that Qualcomm has announced the upcoming Snapdragon 835 SoC to be built using the advanced Samsung 10nm FinFET process, so we can expect Samsung Galaxy S8 and S Edge to be first smartphones to use this new processor at a clocking speed of 3.0GHz and is also expected to use an upgraded Adreno 540 GPU.
The Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED display while the S7 Edge comes with a larger 5.5-inch display with dual Edge display. Under the hood would be the Exynos 8890 or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is a microSD card support on the back, which lets you expand up to 200GB.
After the Samsung Note 7 Saga, the South Korean giant will be looking to get back its glory and dominate the smartphone market. It will take extra care about the type of batteries they would use and try to provide the best flagship model for 2017. What do you think about the leaked image of the Galaxy S8?
