‘Nokia P1’ Powered by ‘Qualcomm Snapdragon 835’ at Staggering Price Starting at $800!

Nokia is making a comeback on the scene this year. And the big news is that Nokia is reportedly going to release at least seven smartphones, including their flagship smartphone, the Nokia P1, which will be powered by the latest mobile processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. This high-end smartphone, however, will cost wannabe owners at least US$800 depending on the variation.

As posted by an IT group called Worket on Russian-based European online social networking services VK.com, "The new Nokia flagship smartphone based on Android will become a model called P1 - is a gadget that is based on the device Sharp Aquos Xx3."

Here are the specifications for the Nokia P1 as exclusively revealed by Worket:

- Qualcomm Snapdragon 835

- 5.3-inch IGZO display with a refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz, Gorilla Glass 5

- 6GB RAM

- Two variants of storage capacities: 128GB and 256GB

- 22.6 megapixel camera, identical to that of Sharp Aquos Xx3 (ZEISS optics certified a Carl Zeiss)

- Battery 3500mAh with Quick Charge;

- Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on the right smartphone end;

- Pre-installed with the latest Android OS 7 .0 (Nougat)

Finnish company HMD Global Oy (HMD), which secured its exclusive Nokia brand licensing rights late last year, is expected to release two versions of Nokia P1, not only based on the storage capacity, but each smartphone will have a physical distinction that separates one from the other.

First, the smaller 128GB version is going to have a glass enclosure with a metal frame. On the other hand, the 256GB variation is reportedly made of a 'ceramic' package. Nokia P1 is also expected to get the protection of standards IP55 / IP57!

The only concern about the Nokia P1 is the price. The smaller 128GB version is reportedly around $800, while the 256GB is up to $950. Nokia's flagship smartphone is reportedly going to be formally unveiled at MWC 2017. Welcome back, Nokia.
