Fingerprint Cards’ Sensor FPC1145 Featured in Sharp’s New Flagship Smartphones

These are the first flagship smartphone launches from Sharp in which one of Fingerprint Cards' sensors has been integrated.

The two new Sharp smartphones (sharp.co.jp) have FPC's sensor FPC1145 mounted on the side. The flagship smartphones ZETA and Xx3 also come equipped with approximately 5.3 inch full HD/IGZO TFT display and approximately 22.6 megapixel camera and supports a user interface called EMOPA.

FPC1145 offers excellent 3D pixel sensing technology that reads virtually any finger. FPC1145's elongated shape allows 360-degree rotation of the finger and unrivalled sensitivity that enables maximum performance.

Already received as well as expected revenues in 2016 that relate to sales of FPC1145 for this smartphone model are included in FPC's communicated revenue guidance of 7,000-8,500 MSEK for 2016.
