Two New ASUS ZenPad Launched with Mid-range Specs

ASUS is about to release its newest flagship smartphone, the ZenFone 3. We've seen plenty of leaks regarding the device including its main specs. Also, the smartphone has been confirmed for launch on may 30th. While we are waiting for the ZenFone 3 to be officially released, we have another ASUS related report. It seems that the company's ZenPad tablet lineup will be receiving two more additions. ASUS is about to introduce two new ZenPad devices that will have an 8-inch display, and a 10-inch one, respectively.

Both tablets will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, which will be customized with the company's new ZenUI user interface, that will bring the manufacture's proprietary functions. The tablets are called ASUS ZenPad 8 (Z380M) and ASUS ZenPad (Z300M) and both of them will underpinned by a MediaTek MT8163 quad-core CPU. We've already mentioned the size of their display, but we also have to say that both will have a pixel resolution 1280 x 800. Other features that are included on both devices are WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n support, GPS, microSD card lost in case you need to expand the internal storage, etc.

Even though they are not that great, the tablets have two available cameras, one placed on the back side with a 5 MP sensor, while the other is located up front and has a 2 MP sensor. When they will become available for purchase the will be sold in three different color options, namely gray, pearl white, and rose gold.

There are some differences between the two tablets. First of all, the ZenPad 8 is the low-budget one, which features a single front-mounted speaker, has a promised battery life of eight hours, and will be available in two variants depending on the amount of storage space and RAM. The first model will come with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of native storage, while the second model will include 2 GB of RAM and 16 GG ob on-board storage. The bigger tablet, the ASUS ZenPad 10 will most likely have an eleven hour battery life, and unlike the 8-inch tablet, it will come with two speakers place on the front which will provide stereo sound. As in the case of the Zenpad 8, the ZenPad 10 will also be available in two versions, namely 16 GB and 32 GB. The only difference is that the ZenPad 10 will have 2 GB of RAM no matter the model. The tablet will come with an accessory called the ASUS Mobile Dock, which is basically a Bluetooth keyboard that can be very helpful when typing longer texts. You mig ht probably wonder of the keyboard will be included in the package or will it be sold separately. Unfortunately, this information is unknown yet.

When it comes to pricing, ASUS will be selling the ZenPad 10 in exchange for $233, while if you are interested in the ZenPad 8 you will have to pay a price of $178. In case you need more storage space, ASUS will provide you with 5GB of WebStorage and 100 GB of Google Drive Space available two years. Unfortunately, the availability details gave not been revealed yet.

ASUS has made a name for itself when it comes to Android Tablets. The manufacturer has other tablet families apart from this one, like the MeMo Pad and the Transformer PAD. Plus, the company has manufacturer the Google branded Nexus 7.

We will get back to you as soon as we find out the release date of the two new tablets.
