AT&T won't sell new HTC 10 flagship Android smartphone

The 10 comes with a 3,000 mAh battery, which will reportedly last for up to 2 days due to optimizations on the phone. From the promotion video, it can be confirmed that indeed, HTC will make the "10" moniker official.

HTC has unveiled its new flagship phone, the HTC 10. Dutch site GSM Helpdesk posted two photos of the HTC 10, giving us a good look at the front and back of the upcoming smartphone. It did, however, invite fans to tune into HTC.com tomorrow to "see what we're obsessed about", and will hold press conferences in New York, London, and Taipei. Following in the footsteps of the One M line of devices (although, dropping the "One M" name), the HTC 10 sports a number of familiar features, combined with a number of newer and refreshed aspects as well. The 12MP rear camera now employs a BSI sensor, which HTC claims improves low-light performance. The back panel also supports a round-shaped camera that will be supported by dual-tone LED flash.

For the first time ever, the front-facing camera has optical image stabilization too. The Snapdragon 80 powered HTC 10 with 32GB storage is priced at $699 in the U.S. The shipping of the pre-ordered devices starts from early May. It also features Pro mode, Auto HDR, HTC Zoe, hyperlapse and slow motion mode.

The promotional video shows that this HTC handset will probably be launched in 3 color variants- Gold, Silver and Black. The company will most likely launch a separate "Lifestyle" version for the Indian market, based on 1.8Ghz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon processor. Not forgetting there are a number of additional premium features included as well, like a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C connectivity, Quick Charge capabilities and of course, HTC's very own BoomSound.

HTC boasts about the number of pixels that its UltraPixel rear camera can cram into an image, but I think users will be a little more excited about some of the other new camera features. The full announcement for the HTC 10 is coming tomorrow.

HTC is expected to kick off the sales of HTC 10 upcoming Friday after unveiling the handset on Tuesday, but reports suggest that release is only for Taiwan.
