Acer Announces Liquid Zest Plus Smartphone

Acer Announces Liquid Zest Plus Smartphone

The Acer Liquid Zest is far from an impressive device judging by the specs we do know, but a low price tag and a massive battery could make it a great choice for budget-minded users who want the best battery life possible. Tri-focus means the snapper relies on all types of AF used today - laser, contrast and phase detection. The smartphone with probably this year's strangest name features a 5.5-inch display and what Acer calls a "tri-focus" camera on the back, which boasts a 13-megapixel shooter.

When I got a chance to go hands-on with the Zest art Acer's press event today (April 21), I found a handset that apes the design on a lot of Acer's other phones.

Case in point: the new Liquid Zest Plus, which sounds more like soap than a smartphone, packs an enormous 5,000mAh battery into a mid-range Android handset priced at less than US$250 (about £175).

Were you aware that Acer made phones? No?

Oukitel has done monster batteries before but never before has it developed a battery this large. So battery fiends, you may just have to keep wishing.

That's noticeably more capacity than flagship smartphones like Samsung's Galaxy S7 (3,000 mAh) and S7 Edge (3,600 mAh), the LG G5 (2,800 mAh), the iPhone 6S Plus (2,750 mAh) and the HTC 10 (3,000 mAh).

Acer also launched a two-in-one Switch Alpha 12 tablet which comes with a free keyboard, the latest 6th Gen Intel Core i5 processor and a new Double LiquidLoop cooling system which maintains the tablet's temperature without using a fan.

McGregor pulled from Nate Diaz fight amid retirement talkThe featherweight champion, 19-3, was withdrawn from the landmark card a few hours after seemingly announcing his retirement . McGregor once notoriously said that he doesn't fight for UFC , he is UFC , so this is consistent with his mindset.
