Samsung Galaxy S7: Everything we know about Samsung's new flagship smartphone

"We believe in a world that is brighter, sharper, more convenient, and more fun". The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are, by and large, refined versions of last year's S6 and S6 Edge designs. "We empower consumers with technology to help them get more out of life and will continue to push the frontier of what's possible". So you know what that means, time for the dirty details on the Galaxy S7 and it's Edge-screened counterpart. "By miniaturizing a camera, with even the ability to put this into a smartphone, removes yet another barrier to adoption for homemade VR". The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are here, and we've got all of the details you've been waiting for right here on PhoneDog. It served as the tool to present the Galaxy S7.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 stock model comes with a 5.1 inches Super AMOLED screen, while the S7 Edge model measures 5.5 inches. The new Tasks edge screen offers one-tap access to applications, functions and news, such as contacts, selfie mode or calendar, always accessible.

As the first big player to enter the stage this year, the Galaxy S7 isn't a dramatic reinvention but features some notable improvements that should keep it among the best the market has to offer.

Samsung has also brought back features such as water resistance, last seen on the Galaxy S5 series.

Samsung on Sunday unveiled the Gear 360 action camera at its Mobile World Congress press conference in Barcelona, Spain. With the increase in battery capacity to 3000mAh and 3600mAh for the S7 and S7 Edge respectively, that shouldn't have much of an impact on power consumption.

So far, Samsung is off to a good start with its listening proof points with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. Why? It is secure, easy-to-use and accepted nearly anywhere you can swipe or tap your card.

Both phones include fingerprint scanning and advanced tokenization and allow mobile payments via Samsung Pay with NFC (Near Field Communication) and MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission). Samsung says it will focus three times quicker than before too. Images and videos are stored to a microSD card (up to 128 GB in size) and can be transferred over Wi-Fi to a Samsung Galaxy phone to be stitched together.

The Galaxy S7 32GB will cost $23.17 per month when purchased through AT&T Next 24. Unlike other mobile security platforms, KNOX is anchored in the device's hardware, and protects the device from the moment it boots up all the way through launching an app.
