LG's MWC 2016 event is scheduled to begin shortly. The company is expected to launch its latest flagship smartphone
Confirmed features of the LG G5 include the latest Snapdragon 820 processor, Always On Display, and a new Quick Cover. According to rumors, the LG G5 has a metal body and comes with fingerprint reader on the rear. It runs on Android Marshmallow and has 5.3-inch QHD display. It is expected to come with 4GB of RAM.
For photography, the smartphone is likely to come with a dual-camera set up featuring two 16-megapixel rear cameras with 135-degree wide-angle capture, laser auto focus, dual-tone flash, and 4K video recording capabilities. Here's how the LG G5 modular smartphone may look like
Connectivity features include USB Type-C 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. It will be powered by a 2,800 mAh battery (removable).
For photography, the LG G5 is expected to come with a dual-camera set up featuring a standard 78-degree lens and a 135-degree wide angle lens. It will also have an 8-megapixel front facing camera.
The smartphone is most likely to come with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 820 chipset along with 4GB of RAM. It will have 32GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
According to the latest report, the LG G5 has a 5.3-inch QHD display with resolution of 2560x1440pixels and pixel density of 554ppi.
LG will also launch six new companion devices, called LG Friends. These new accessories include 360 CAM, 360 VR, Rolling Bot and Smart Controller.
LG has teamed up with B&O Play to develop a module that converts the G5 into a portable Hi-Fi audio player. The module supports 32-bit, 384KHz high-definition audio playback.
First module is the CAM Plus, which gives DSLR like controls. Users can control exposure, auto-focus among other features through the module. It comes with physical buttons for power, record, zoom and photo shutter. It also includes an additional 1.200mAh battery.
The LG G5 comes with an expansion slot that allows users to swap in batteries and other modules. LG has introduced two new modules to begin with.
According to the latest leak, the LG G5 has metal body and comes with a unique modular design, which allows users to transform the G5 into a hi-fi player, a digital camera, and more.
