Live Blog: LG G5 launch event at MWC 2016

LG is set launch its latest flagship smartphone, the G5, at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona. The G5 is one of the first smartphones to come with Snapdragon 820 processor. Confirmed features of the LG G5 include the latest Snapdragon 820 processor, Always On Display, and a new Quick Cover. According to rumors, the LG G5 has a metal body and comes with fingerprint reader on the rear. It runs on Android Marshmallow and has 5.3-inch QHD display. It is expected to come with 4GB of RAM.

For photography, the smartphone is likely to come with a dual-camera set up featuring  two 16-megapixel rear cameras with 135-degree wide-angle capture, laser auto focus, dual-tone flash, and 4K video recording capabilities. Connectivity features include USB Type-C 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. It will be powered by a 2,800 mAh battery (removable).

The smartphone is likely to be powered by a 2,800 mAh removable battery. For audio, LG has tied up with B&O PLAY, a subsidiary of Bang & Olufsen, for the G5.
