Samsung is all set to unveil its upcoming flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, at MWC 2016 next month. The smartphones are expected to come in two chipset variants running on Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890, which will be dependent on individual market requirement. While we've already come across benchmark scores of Exynos 8890 taking on Huawei's Kirin 950 processor, the Galaxy S7 powered by Snapdragon 820 recently passed through Geekbench 3, giving a clear idea of how it performs against its competitors.
In multi-core performance (quad-core), the Snapdragon 820 variant loses to Exynos, but in single-core test it logged a score of 2,282 compared to 1,873 of the Exynos 8890 chipset. It is important to note, as the smartphone isn't running the final software yet, the scores may change later.
Samsung Galaxy S7 specifications and features: The Galaxy S7-family are expected to feature 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch QHD displays with Apple's 3D-Touch like technology, fingerprint scanner and an iris scanner. It is believed to be powered by either Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset or Samsung's Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB internal storage options. The microSD card slot is also set to make its comeback.
