LG Pay Will Work On Non-Flagship Smartphones

LG will soon release LG Pay globally

LG Pay Soon Coming To More Countries, Devices, And Banks

LG Pay will be supported not only on future premium phones but also on budget-friendly and mid-range devices coming out beginning next year. LG is looking forward to entering the global market to provide competition to such rival services as Samsung Pay and Apple Pay. The mobile payment solution now only works on the LG G6 lineup and is thought to be supported on the upcoming LG V30 that most industry watchers expect to be unveiled in late summer.

The company has revealed plans to bring its LG Pay service to "low-budget smartphones" next year. LG wants to rival Samsung's very own mobile payment which has been around for nearly two years now. It uses Wireless Magnetic Communication Technology to enable LG phones to work with credit card terminals, with payments being made by simply tapping a compatible device against a payment terminal. Unfortunately, the company is yet to announce the smartphones that will get the support for its LG Pay service. Just two actions are needed to process a transaction. The firm's mobile payment solution had a slow start as it was facing a number of delays during development and was reportedly close to being canceled due to a number of issues before finally debuting in LG's home country in early June. The mobile payment service is also expected to be ready in other markets and more online shopping malls around the world.

As yet there are no details on which countries will be getting LG Pay next, although we presume it will be headed to the USA and Europe including the UK.
