Once considered a no-no for premium devices, companies such as HTC and Samsung now offer it as a default feature in some of their top-end flagship smartphones. Dual SIM support, either through a hybrid system (where you can either expand storage or use the second SIM) or through a dedicated slot, is one of the features premium customers now demand, especially in the post-Reliance Jio era. If you are considering an upgrade to an expensive smartphone but don't wish to continue using the soap kit-sized secondary phone, you can consider one of the following options which are both premium and offer dual SIM support.

Launched today, the HTC U11 is the latest in the premium category and has dual SIM capabilities. One of the talking points of the smartphone is the Edge Sense technology which allows users to gently squeeze it on the sides to execute pre-set functions. Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+
Samsung's latest premium smartphones – the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ – both support dual SIM through a hybrid slot. Because there is a hybrid system, you can either insert a second SIM or expand the storage. However, if you opt for the newer 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM Galaxy S8+ variant, priced at Rs 74,900, you will not only get a bigger display, but also more default storage along with a larger 3,500mAh battery. Sony Xperia XZ Premium
Another smartphone to boast Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 835 SoC, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium is priced at Rs 59,990 and boasts its camera prowess as one of the highlights. It is equipped with a 19-megapixel rear camera with 'Motion Eye' technology that lets you record 960fps slow-motion videos. OnePlus 3T
