While we're still eagerly awaiting official information on the upcoming iPhone 8, which will mark the 10th anniversary of Apple's flagship smartphone, news surrounding the following iteration has already begun to surface.
According to The Investor, Apple and Samsung Display have inked a deal to provide OLED panels for three new iPhones. These OLED panels are in turn a big reason why the iPhone 8 is rumored to cost around $1,000 USD.
The iPhone 8 will then account for one of the three iPhones detailed in the aforementioned contract, while the other two are expected to be variants of the iPhone 9, which will boast 5.28-inch and 6.46-inch displays, making it the largest iPhone ever.
