Samsung Galaxy X rumors: Samsung's first foldable smartphone rumored for 2017 release

It includes Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Edge, Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy Note 7 Edge and a new flagship smartphone called Galaxy X.

An array of smartphones, including Samsung's Galaxy Note 6 are expected to hit shelves in the second half of the year, around the same time the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are slated to make their debut.

According to Tech Times, Samsung is developing a firmware for the Galaxy Note 6. There are reports that Samsung is now analyzing two different types of the new devices and one will finalize one prototype from them, reported University Herald.

The Inquisitr will keep you updated once Samsung rolls out the official Android Marshmallow firmware for the Galaxy A8. I would be interested in seeing it myself but I'm not sure how well something so drastically different would catch on.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 7 could be a truly astounding phablet, with Samsung likely to pack this next generation device with some of the most impressive specs in the history of mobiles.

According to the post, Samsung Galaxy A8 with model number SM-A800F or the dual-SIM variant got the certification with a listing showing that it runs on the latest Android flavor. Blass then answered that since there is no Edge+ version of the device, there's a possibility that the Galaxy Note 6 will not be made available globally.

The display seems to measure up to 5.5 inches diagonally.

Coming to the feature side of things, Galaxy Surfboard was possible thanks to the tag team of Leo Burnett and Johnny Cabianca. Rumors say that Samsung is set to introduce Samsung Galaxy X which, if speculations are indeed correct, would be the first phone that features a foldable screen.

As a higher-tier handset, though not as high-end as the flagships of Samsung, the Galaxy A9 also features a fingerprint scanner built into its home button, just like the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy Note 5. What's more, consumers will have difficulty finding the difference other than the obvious in their prices and the water-resistant feature. Under the hood, the device is powered by an Exynos octa-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz coupled with 2GB RAM.

Operating System: Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) gets an upper when it comes to software.

US carrier Sprint released the Marshmallow update to its Galaxy Note 4 models. So this will not be some expensive white elephant, rather a genuinely practical device that will be aimed at the mainstream market to some extent, even if it is unlikely to be as affordable as the Galaxy S8.
