HTC One M10 Release on Apr. 19 Dubbed As “HTC 10”?

The new flagship smartphone from HTC has been highly talked about by tech enthusiasts since rumors surfaced late last year. Rumored to be the HTC One M10, many gadget lovers expected the Taiwanese-based phone manufacturer to announce their upcoming flagship smartphone during the Mobile World Congress which was held last month, but the event only came and went without any news from HTC. Now it appears that the wait for the HTC One M10 may not be much longer as news have surfaced that the upcoming phone will be releasing on Apr. 19 though it won't be known by the same name.

According to GSMArena, the upcoming flagship phone is not going to be released as the HTC One M10 which was what early reports indicated. Instead, it will be releasing simply as the HTC 10. The report was based on a Tweet by well-known leaker Evan Blass who tweeted "You heard it here first: HTC 10".

The recent leak by Blass makes a lot of sense, given that HTC has already started posting teaser videos for their upcoming phone. In the teaser video, which was uploaded on YouTube features a narrative teasing viewers of what the company has been working hard on. In the end of the video, the hashtag #powerof10 is shown which could be a hint that the company will be utilizing it for their upcoming release.

Speaking of release date, Ubergizmo reports that HTC will be launching the phone in the United States on April 19 which is only a little over a month away. There have been no confirmation from HTC yet but expect more and more teasers and updates in the coming weeks. Also be sure to check back here to get the latest news and leaks about the HTC 10 which is surely going to be one of the most talked about smartphones this year.
