Earlier this month, we learned that Xiaomi is all set to take wraps off its next flagship, the Mi 5 on January 21. Ever since then, we've seen the leaked press images showing off the front-facing fingerprint sensor and a glimpse at its thin bezels. Now a couple of leaked photos of the front-panel confirm the physical home button and the display size.
The front-facing home button is also said to come embedded with a fingerprint scanner. The leaked front-panel photos also reveals that the Mi 5 is set to come with rounded corners, which is in line with earlier leaks.
The photo also shows the panel's back with all of its connectors. But the photo also raises questions about the display of the flagship smartphone. Some of the previous leaks suggested that the Mi 5 could come with a 5.2-inch QHD display, but the leaker now claims that the smartphone could come with 5-inch full HD (1080p) display.

Xiaomi Mi 5 specifications and features: So with the latest leak, the Mi 5 could feature either a 5-inch full HD display or a 5.2-inch QHD display. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, a combination of 16-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and an 8-megapixel selfie unit could be in tow. In terms of software, it could run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7.
As of now, it's not sure what has in store with the Mi 5, but we expect more details to pour in as the launch gets closer.
